How long do temporary tattoos last?
Wear time is not one number. It depends on chemistry, placement, skin prep, clothing friction, showers, sweat, and how you remove the mark. Honest brands talk in ranges and show evidence — not fake “lasts 2 weeks” banners.

What actually affects wear
- Material type — water-transfer decals, stain-style products, and other chemistries behave differently.
- Placement — wrist and ankle often fade faster than low-friction areas.
- Prep — oil, lotion, and damp skin weaken transfer quality.
- Friction — clothing seams, watches, and bags lift edges early.
- Water & sweat — showers, pools, and workouts change the fade curve.
Typical language (not FadeMuse claims)
Classic water-transfer tattoos are often described in days, not weeks. Some products marketed as semi-permanent aim longer. None of that language becomes a FadeMuse product claim until our own day 1 / day 3 / day 7 photos and notes exist.
How FadeMuse will measure
- Day 1 — line crispness, film/shine, comfort
- Day 3 — early fade, edge lift, shower/sweat behavior
- Day 7 — residual mark, uneven wear, removal notes
Results will publish as a testing log. Read the testing standard and semi-permanent vs temporary.
Mood imagery is editorial only. Real sample wear photos will replace these after day 1 / 3 / 7 testing.
