“Semi-permanent” is a marketing spectrum, not a single chemistry. Understanding the categories helps you shop honestly — and helps FadeMuse avoid lazy claims before samples are tested.

Temporary (classic sense)
Usually surface-applied designs such as water-transfer decals. They sit on or very near the skin surface, wear off with time, friction, and washing, and are meant to be non-permanent. Quality varies widely by ink film, adhesive behavior, and line art.
Semi-permanent (loose market term)
Often used for products marketed to last longer than a weekend — including some stain-style or specialized formulas. The word does not automatically mean medical-grade, permanent, or identical across brands. Always read ingredients and ignore unsupported longevity claims.
What they are not
- Not permanent tattoo studio ink under the skin in the traditional sense
- Not a reason to skip patch testing
